Extreme Match Play Test Tara & Kim!Saturday, April 20, St. Petersburg, FL – By Tara KukKim and I found out first hand why the EVP Tour has the word EXTREME in its name. Saturday at the Undertow Beach Bar in St. Pete, FL was exactly that. Most of the EVP female "poster players", six teams total, were in to play a round robin tournament as an exhibition for Corona Light. We played every team "match play" and ended up playing 11 games in about six hours. Nine matches which were back to back. That is definitely extreme. It's hard to keep up with water, food, and sunscreen moving at that fast of a pace. There were times when Kim and I felt like we were literally "running on empty". It was so fun though and worth the exhaustion. So many tourists and locals were at the Undertow tanning, drinking, cheering, or heckling, which just added to the competition. Kim and I went 5-0 and ended up with the 1st place check without playoffs because the sun was setting. That was an extra bonus for me because I couldn't wait to get out of there to go celebrate Mike's birthday. He turned 33! Happy Birthday!! For more news on this event please Click Here » |
